Created with Love and PurposeIn Memory of Elisio, the baby boy we wish we could have raised.I held my precious baby boy, Elisio, in my hand and thought about all the potential within his little body. Potential that he would never have a single day in this life this life to fulfill, as a baby, toddler, or young child holding his mothers hand, as she guides him through life. I felt honored and blessed to hold him, while my heart ached for the moments I would have cherished to spend with him. I imagined what it would have been like to hold him on my lap and read to him, to snuggle with him and tell him a bedtime story, then pray for him and tuck him in at night. My heart continued to ache with pain, as I searched for meaning.
Human PotentialI then thought about the words of the great, Leo Buscallia, who said, "The greatest waste in the world is the waste of human potential."I continued to reflect upon this quote, as I wrestled with the realization that there was no way I could bring my son back to life. As I cried out to God, I suddenly realized that my baby boy's Spirit could never die. In that moment it dawned upon me that I could keep his memory alive, by serving others in his honor.
